The Rigid Custom Works Rear Speaker Grille Cover Set replaces the cracked, sun-faded and crumbling factory grilles fitted to the rear parcel shelf of the Mercedes-Benz W126 saloon and C126 SEC coupé. After decades baking beneath the rear glass, the original moulded plastic grilles are one of the most common interior failures on these chassis; this re-engineered set restores the cabin and fixes the problem permanently.

The Engineering Edge

• Material: The frame is 3D-printed in high-strength ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate), an industrial-grade polymer selected for its exceptional UV stability and thermal resistance. Sitting directly beneath the rear glass, the original ABS grille embrittles and disintegrates; ASA holds its colour and structure in that greenhouse environment without warping, fading or turning to dust.
• Fitment: Reverse-engineered from original hardware to the exact OEM dimensions of part numbers 1268200312 (Left) and 1268200412 (Right). The clip geometry and mounting points are reproduced to factory specification, so each cover snaps flush into the rear deck with no gaps, no rattles and no modification — a true drop-in installation.
• Value proposition: These grilles are effectively unavailable new and surviving originals are already failing. Beyond simply replacing the part, the set integrates a powder-coated stainless-steel mesh in place of the fragile factory plastic lattice — corrosion-proof, acoustically open and considerably stronger than the piece it supersedes.
