This is a precision-engineered replacement for the sun visor backing panel on the Mercedes-Benz R129 SL-Class. The factory sun visor backing — OEM part 1298102317 — is a frustratingly fragile component that warps, loses its surface finish, and eventually delaminates from the combined effects of cabin heat and UV cycling over the windshield.
