Fits without modification

Made for the centre console armrest on the Mercedes R129 SL, replacing OEM part 1296830055. The button is reverse-engineered from an original, so the face profile, shaft and travel land exactly where the factory part does. It drops into the console housing and works off the standard mechanism — no trimming, drilling or shimming.

Looks right in the car

Available in Beige, Black and Grey to sit alongside your existing console trim rather than stand out against it. The colour runs right through the material instead of sitting on the surface, so the button that gets pressed a hundred times a week doesn't wear through to a different shade at the edges. No paint, no lacquer, nothing to peel.

Built to outlast the original

The original button fails in two places. The plastic goes chalky and brittle under years of sun through the roof, and the two internal springs that give it its press lose tension or collapse — so the button either sticks down or rattles loose in the console.

The button is made from ASA, specified for exactly this position: UV-stable so it holds its colour in an open-top car, heat resistant so it doesn't soften or distort in a cabin that bakes, and tough enough to take repeated thumb pressure without the shaft splitting. Because it's colour-through, a scuff is a scuff in the same colour, not a mark in a finish.

One armrest side button in your chosen colour, plus the pair of internal springs that sit behind it and give the button its action. Most sellers list these separately and most failed buttons need both — so the set goes in complete, in one go, without a second order and a second wait.
